About ACDelco ANI405A Heavy Duty Twin Hammer ½” 500 ft-lbs. 5-Speed Pneumatic Impact Wrench
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
66% were satisfied with the drive size, while 34% weren't
I use a wrench to take off lug nuts on 53' semi trailers in the field because our van only has 3/8' air fittings on the compressor, but it does it with no problem.
I faced difficulty in handling the circular wire clip that keeps the socket seated on the driver. I had to tap the socket and wrench against the pavement to get it on and feared that I would have to pry it off with a crowbar when done. Hopefully, it will not be so argumentative next time.
86% liked the speed settings, although 14% desired more variability
I need an impact wrench with enough power to remove lug nuts, but it is not putting out 500 ft-lbs of pressure.
It is difficult to use the wrench effectively as the power/directional setting does not seem to have any relation to its direction of spin or power output.
80% were impressed by the size and weight, however 20% found it cumbersome
By the end of the day, my wrist is tired from using the heavy wrench.
74% appreciated the power source, but 26% encountered issues
With power level 3 and 4, I was able to zip off the lug nuts using the impact wrench.
I have noticed that the power/directional setting does not have any relation to the direction it spins or the power it puts out.
86% were satisfied with the torque output, while 14% weren't
I was able to remove lug nuts with ease using the impact gun at a torque of 103 foot lbs.
Other tools deliver more power and higher speeds than this one, but they require at least twice as much air flow.
The ratchet only has 60 ft lb of torque and feels cheaply made with plastic components.
I use a wrench to take off lug nuts on 53' semi trailers in the field because our van only has 3/8' air fittings on the compressor, but it does it with no problem.
I can take off a 3/4 inch lug nut from a midsized car with the wrench.
