I faced an issue with the driver when attempting to drive a screw in speed setting #1, the unit failed to operate.
82% found it lightweight and easy to carry
The power impact driver is compact and more powerful than my regular size one, making it easy to carry around.
88% appreciated the adjustable speed settings, while 12% found them limited
The product is small but powerful and great for tight spots. It does not lose any power and may even gain power over traditional ones.
I attempted to drive a screw in speed setting #1 but the driver failed to operate. I discovered a small symbol just above speed setting #1 in the shape of a drill bit or small wood screw and concluded that this speed setting is for light drilling operations or the driving of very small screws only. It works well in this light application. The other two speed settings work well for much larger fasteners. Dewalt should mention this in the supplied operator's manual.
The impact driver came in as a potato and worked for only 30 minutes under lite foot work. It's likely the chuck that's broken as the motor still fires and the electric and all still reads fine, but there's no spinning at all.
After driving screws by the hundreds for two days, the battery still shows a full charge.
