Overall Feedback:
83% positive
74% appreciated the long battery life, although 26% thought it drained quickly
I used the trimmer for at least couple of hours and the battery showed no signs of running down.
The battery life lasts around 1.5-2 hours of solid trimming before I need to recharge it. It handles everything I throw at it.
I cannot comment on the battery life as it has been raining continuously since I received it and I have only done a quick hedge trim. Thus, I have not used the battery long enough to comment on it.
I bought the hedge trimmer last year for $111 and after charging it 4-5 times, the battery is indicating poor quality.
I have noticed that this Lithium-ion-powered trimmer cannot match the cutting power of a similar-sized gasoline model.
83% liked excellent cutting performance
I was able to trim everything I could find, indicating that the hedge trimmer has good cutting performance.
I was extremely impressed with the power and long-lasting battery of the hedge trimmer.
This hedgetrimmer has a longer run time with 40v and cuts smoothly with a sturdy steel blade. It can easily cut thick weeds, brush, blackberry canes, and small trees compared to the 20v.
88% liked its user-friendly design
I found this trimmer easy to use and was able to trim all the bushes and hedges around my property without any issues.
I find the trimmer easy to hold and handle with good power, and it's not too heavy.
94% liked the low noise level, while 6% found it too loud
Trimming is so easy that it's actually fun, indicating that the noise level of the power-hedge-trimmers isn't high enough to disturb me while trimming.
After an hour of running, my battery charger started blinking red, indicating a problem with either the battery or the trimmer. It's unclear if the trimmer produces any noise.
87% appreciated its portability, though 13% found it heavy
The trimmer has a comfy grip and trigger, a sharp blade, and is super light without any cord hassle.
The tool is portable and I can get 1.5-2 hours of solid trimming before I need to recharge the battery.
I checked the battery on the Black and Decker website and found it had a 1-star rating.
83% appreciated the safety features
I was impressed with the power and long-lasting battery of the hedge trimmer.
84% liked its versatility for various tasks, but 16% found it limited
The trimmer makes the job quick.
I trimmed everything I could find, including my finger, which shows the versatility of the product.
I find this product lacking in versatility and unable to match the cutting power of a similar-sized gasoline model.
74% highlighted its minimal vibration, although 26% experienced significant vibration
The battery charger ran for an hour and then started blinking red, indicating that the battery is bad and should not be used.
If what I am cutting is too large (less than 1/4 inch), the trimmer will stall out.
The battery life of this trimmer is pretty good. I was able to use it the very next day on more bushes and a couple of trees in my backyard without charging it up again.
The product has very good operational, battery life and durability.
