The adapter does a pretty good job of covering a large part of the world, but it doesn't fit South African sockets.
The adapter works with my computer and several other US standard power bricks at 230V.

this adapter is not a converter. When plugged into a foreign 240 volt source, the output on the US receptacle is also 240 volts. It's not a good idea to plug something in that is strictly 120 volts.

I tested the adapter and measured the output voltage of the USB port using a USB power meter. The voltage stability was quite good, measuring 5.06 volts with no load and 4.96 volts once the tablet was plugged in.
