About UberChef Potato Ricer Set with 3 Ricing Discs (Fine, Medium, Coarse)
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
82% appreciated the adjustable ricing settings, though 18% found them limited
The potato ricer works well, but it could be improved by having the ricer plate lock in place to prevent it from getting stuck to the bottom of the pressing plate when lifted.
The model offers flexibility of different sized holes, but it comes at a cost. The ricing discs get stuck to the plunger and I have to unstick and reseat the disc every time I load in more ingredients.
85% appreciated the durable construction, while 15% found it flimsy
The metal holding the part where the potatoes go split after using it only a handful of times, indicating poor durability of the product.
83% liked the comfortable grip, but 17% experienced discomfort
The handle design was uncomfortable to grip as the handles were further apart than they appeared in the picture, making it difficult to press them together when the bowl was loaded with potatoes.
88% praised the perfect ricing results, but 12% experienced uneven texture
Using it is easy and comfortable, and potatoes go through the large hole ricing disc like a hot knife through butter.
I usually have to do the mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner and dread it, but this year it will be easier and the potatoes will be smooth.
The ricing discs get stuck to the plunger and need to be reseated every time ingredients are loaded.
The potato ricer works well, but it could be improved by having the ricer plate lock in place to prevent it from getting stuck to the bottom of the pressing plate when lifted.
I faced discomfort while squeezing the IKOCO potato ricer/masher with lots of pressure, but I was able to eliminate that problem by putting on a pair of gloves.
The potato ricer is easy to clean as it comes apart with the pull of a pin, without the hassle of different cutting plates.
