About LHS Stainless Steel Potato Ricer Masher
Overall Feedback:
67% positive
71% appreciated the adjustable ricing settings, though 29% found them limited
Having a potato ricer with a button or ledge on the back would allow me to apply more force to squish the product, as I am short and leverage can be tricky.
The interchangeable discs are a good idea, but they stick to the top piece and pull out of the cylinder after each potato is mashed.
70% appreciated the durable construction, while 30% found it flimsy
The interchangeable discs of the potato ricer stick to the top piece and pull out of the cylinder after each potato is mashed.
76% liked how easy it was to clean, but 24% found it a hassle
I was able to easily clean the cup after processing 5 lbs of potatoes and the cup size is good.
The interchangeable discs stick to the top 'pushing' piece and pull up and out of the cylinder after each piece of potato is mashed, making it difficult to clean the potato ricer.
74% found it effortless to rice potatoes, while 26% had difficulties
I was disappointed with the product as the masher kept falling off after using it once.
I am dissatisfied with the interchangeable discs of the potato ricer. They stick to the top 'pushing' piece and pull up and out of the cylinder after each piece of potato is mashed, requiring me to peel it off and put it back in place. This makes the process of ricing potatoes difficult and inconvenient for me.
I had difficulty using the potato ricer myself and had to ask my husband for help. The design is odd and the push thing doesnt swing into place itself, I need to position it over the cup.
81% liked the comfortable grip, but 19% experienced discomfort
I suggest adding a button or ledge on the back of the potato ricer to improve grip comfort and allow for more force to squish the product. As a short person, I may face leverage issues without it.
69% praised the perfect ricing results, but 31% experienced uneven texture
After each piece of potato is mashed, the disc sticks to the top "pushing" piece and pulls up and out of the cylinder.
Having a potato ricer with a button or ledge on the back would allow me to apply more force to squish the product, as I am short and leverage can be tricky.
I am impressed with the quality of construction of the potato ricer. The handle is strong and comfortable, and there is a piece of metal that limits the travel of the handle so that I can only apply so much force at the end, which should help extend its life.
The potato ricer works well, but it could be improved by having the ricer plate lock in place to prevent it from getting stuck to the bottom of the pressing plate when lifted.
