About Architectural Mailboxes 7980B-10 Roxbury Mount Mailbox and Premium Steel Post Combo
Overall Feedback:
87% positive
85% liked the modern design, but 15% found it unattractive
The mailbox has snap on and screw on plastic parts that cover up all the bolts, making it attractive.
Architectural Mailboxes' customer service sent me a diagram stating that the pole is only 52". They claim to have never received a complaint about its length.
86% praised for its durability, while 14% experienced rusting
The connection between the two halves of the post became loose within 2 days, causing the pole to wobble. I replaced the screws with the next size and used gorilla glue to make it strong again.
89% found it easy to install, while 11% had difficulties
I measured the pole and found it to be only 53.5 instead of 65.5. Customer service denies any complaints about the length, making it difficult to install at street level.
84% praised the high-quality material
The mailbox has a plastic root covering that adds style and is made of strong steel.
I was initially worried about how the mailbox would hold the pole, but after pouring cement at the base, it is now solidly in place and looks more expensive than what I paid for it.
86% liked the spacious interior, but 14% found it too small
I received a mail box that was not as advertised. The pole was shorter than described and customer service was unhelpful in addressing the issue. I suggest avoiding this mail box if installing it at street level.
I noticed that the back seams on one side of the mailbox are not together, which could let rain in. However, I plan to fix it using weatherproof caulking from the inside.
