The buttons on this portable radio are raised slightly, making it very easy for me to use.
I found the easiest way to use the radio was to enter the frequency by the numeric keypad once I was in the band I liked. The tuning knob and the two up and down search arrow buttons on the lower front panel of the radio were great for moving up and down the frequency while searching.
Frequency entry is extremely easy and does not require hitting extraneous prefixes or suffixes.

It is portable and can be powered by a $20 10W/5V solar panel without a battery installed.
