After running for 7 hours, the generator has been flawless.

The generator is quiet at first, but it gets louder over time due to the muffler wearing out quickly.
The noise level of our portable generator is high due to the rougher waveform and lower voltage, causing induction motors to run louder and slower, making a distinct humming noise. Some incandescent light bulbs also make a noise.
