About Philco Bluetooth Personal CD Player - MP3 Playback
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
71% highlighted the supported formats, yet 29% encountered issues
I found it easy to link the portable CD player to a Bluetooth device. The directions were minimal and easy to understand.
I gave this CD player a rating of 3 because the display doesn't work properly and I can't see the CD track number or radio station numbers while scanning.
86% highlighted the supported formats
I was able to play not only pressed CDs but also some very old CD-R and rewritable CD-RW disks that I was not even sure would still work after 10 to 15 years. The portable CD player supports various formats of CDs.
I was able to use my portable CD player with an MP3 disc containing over 120 songs without any issues.
82% liked the size
I have noticed that this CD player is slightly heavier and bulkier than a basic cordless CD player due to its extra functions, which makes it more portable and feature-rich.
84% appreciated its compatibility with accessories
My favourite headphones (both wired and wireless) worked well with the device, but the headphones that came with it were not satisfactory.
I connected the CD player to a bluetooth speaker and car stereo using an auxiliary cable without any issues.
I am glad that the player has a 3.5 mm TRS jack on it as well, which gives me confidence that, should the Bluetooth on this player fade in reliability as I feel it might, I can still connect this player to headphones and speakers.
76% were satisfied with the battery life, while 24% weren't
I put batteries in the CD player but it did not turn on. I thought I had gotten a dud right out of the box.
I expected two fresh batteries of any kind to last longer than half of one song, but they didn't meet my expectations.
73% appreciated the audio quality, but 27% raised concerns
I was surprised by the incredible sound quality of the earbuds that came with the portable CD player.
I have noticed that the portable CD player only gives sound and the speaker quality is minimal.
88% liked the anti-skip protection, although 12% found it ineffective
This CD player passed the test with flying colors and has anti-skip protection feature that works well. There is no silence or gap between tracks 8 and 9.
I tested the anti-skip protection of my portable CD player by gently jolting it a few times and found that it worked well without any hesitation or pausing during CD playback.
There is a prominent ESP button, but the manual says it comes on automatically when a CD is played, so I am confused about its purpose.
I bought this portable CD player because it got good reviews about not skipping, but right out of the box, it was skipping every few seconds, even with the anti-skip button on. I didn't even touch it, and it was still skipping.
I noticed that the portable CD player lacks a remote control and the skip a track function causes it to stutter back and forth between tracks alarmingly.
I can listen to radio/podcasts on my cell through this speaker as the CD player is not too big and has bluetooth feature.
