About Alesis Melody 61 MKII - 61 Key Music Keyboard / Digital Piano
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
85% liked the variety of connectivity options, but 15% found them limited
Any earphone with a standard jack can be used to connect the keyboard if I am worried about being loud while practicing.
I received the product with a stand, stool, music rack, microphone, headphones, and all electronic connections.
The headphones broke immediately after taking them out of the box.
The keyboard lacks MIDI/USB connection that Skoove requires and the free music lessons are useless for me as Skoove only has an app for iPads, not android tablets/phones.
75% liked the intuitive display and interface, but 25% found it confusing
I like the sleep mode feature of the keyboard where it goes into a sleep mode and pressing a key reactivates it.
The product only has 32 keys instead of the advertised 61 keys.
After playing a few songs on it, if I hold two keys down the notes will ring instead of playing smoothly.
82% appreciated the long-lasting durability, but 18% found it stopped working very soon
After 6 months of heavy, daily use, the speakers started to sound grainy and put out lots of white noise feedback.
I have noticed that some reviewers are disappointed with the quality of this keyboard.
Some reviewers are disappointed with the quality of this keyboard.
80% liked the responsive and weighted keys, but 20% found them too light
My other keyboards are decent in their own rights but lack the fully weighted hammer action.
The keys of this portable keyboard require more strength to strike and hold than an actual piano, which can be frustrating.
The keyboard is quite out of key.
80% found it incredibly lightweight and portable, but 20% thought it was too bulky
It's a great portable option for basic practice and composition, as well as a nice compact MIDI keyboard option.
The keyboard is of great quality, easy to assemble, and can be easily stored in a spare closet when not in use.
I want to warn buyers that this keyboard is not portable due to the lack of a pedal port.
79% praised the rich and clear sound, while 21% found it lacking in depth
To my tone-deaf ears, the sound quality is fine.
The sound quality is surprisingly good, but it would be better if it powered up at low to moderate volume rather than full volume.
I noticed that the speakers produced lots of white noise feedback and started to sound grainy.
The sound quality of the portable-arranger-keyboards is the worst I have heard, which is negative feedback.
I noticed that the keys don't produce a full tone and the sound is tinny.
