I measured the noise level of the portable air conditioner using an app on my phone. It was around 60dB from a foot or less away from the unit and a little louder than a portable fan running on medium when sitting around 10 ft away.

I can sleep with the air conditioner on because it produces brown noise instead of high pitched sound.
