About Nollapo 8 Set Solar Cover Reel Attachment Kit
Overall Feedback:
82% positive
77% found it weather resistant, but 23% raised issues
I am concerned about the weather resistance of the pool safety cover, particularly the adhesive-backed Velcro used to attach the strap to the reel. I don't think it would withstand the heat of Arizona for more than a day.
75% liked its durability, while 25% were concerned about longevity
I bought this product as a replacement for the one I had for 7 years which was starting to crack. The materials seem better quality and feels sturdier, so I can comment on the product's durability based on my experience.
When I roll up the solar cover, the reel dips in the middle because of the light duty aluminum.
74% highlighted its low maintenance requirements, however 26% found it demanding
The velcro tends to slide off and needs to be pushed back on from time to time, which is a maintenance requirement for the pool-safety-cover.
82% found it easy to install, although 18% struggled with the process
It was moderately difficult to assemble, but manageable for the average handy person with a few tools.
I found the installation process of the pool-safety-cover relatively easy for both ends, but had a hard time getting the tubes together. The tubes are not numbered, and the ends do not line up. After multiple tries over 2 days, I finally managed to get the tubes together to form a 14-foot section.
I am concerned about the weather resistance of the pool safety cover, particularly the adhesive-backed Velcro used to attach the strap to the reel. I don't think it would withstand the heat of Arizona for more than a day.
I have personally experienced that my last two covers were 8 mil and lasted about 1-1/2 to almost 2 years. The warranty was voided because of where I live. The material durability of pool-safety-covers is a negative feature based on my experience.
The only drawback of this pool safety cover is that when it rains, the rainwater has no way of draining down into the pool and just sits on top. I have to either scoop it off or skim through it and clean out as much crap as possible before pulling the cover up on to the deck allowing it to drain off into the pool.
