The camera has a decent optical zoom of up to 4X and a wide angle default image.
I find the zoom useless due to the focus problem, resulting in blurred pictures.

In low light, the camera has trouble focusing.

I find the image stabilization to be very poor, resulting in jumpy videos.
Initially, the image stabilization was bad and I had to find a scene type called anti-shake to add it. It should have been set by default.

I like the WiFi connection feature of the camera, which allows me to operate the video and picture snapping onshore while the little ones take it into the water.
The camera does not support wifi connectivity and still uses the old 1990s tech of plugging a cable between the camera and computer.

The battery life is decent and can give around 2 hours of frequent picture taking before needing a recharge, which is on par with other cameras of its class.
I keep the camera on while snorkelling so that it is ready when I need it. The battery life is okay and it has not let me down so far, although it is hard to quantify how long it stays on.
The battery life is average and can drain quickly with videos or flash photos.
I noticed the battery life was a bit short, but it's expected due to the camera's size.
