I have purchased this product twice. The first purchase was almost 2 years ago. I accidentally dropped it and the bottom plastic cracked on it, but it is still working fine.
I clean the distiller with a little citric acid in water and soak it for about 10 minutes and it is done.
After several weeks of usage, rust is developing in the area under the gasket.
I am losing about half of what I could have gotten due to a bad seal causing the distiller to leak.

The product is easy to use, but it takes 4 hours to filter a gallon of water.
I was able to find everything I needed to know with a few minutes of research on Google, even though the instructions were not clear.

I tested the water straight out of the tap and distilled water. The distilled water had a TDS level of 15, significantly lower than the tap water (217 ppm), indicating that the pitcher-water-filter is effective in removing impurities from the water.
The pitcher-water-filter is effective as it can process a gallon every 4 hours and takes about 30 minutes for a fresh tankful to boil and start dripping into the external jug.
The distiller significantly reduced the need for cleaning my coffee maker and humidifier, which were previously affected by hard water and calcium deposits.
