About PUR PLUS Large'xa0Filtered Water Dispenser, 30 Cup Includes 1 PUR'xa0PLUS'xa0Water Pitcher Filter
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
87% praised the filter's durability, while 13% found it broke easily
Over time, the area around the seal on the spigot cracked and now it leaks when poured.
After a year of use, the spout design snapped and it is fragile.
I am concerned about the durability of the pitcher's spigot. I am not confident that it can be properly cleaned and suspect it will be a point of failure in the future.
I have already purchased 3 units of the product and the first 2 broke at the nozzle in less than 7 months. It would be an easy and inexpensive fix if the company cared about its reputation, customers, or quality.
There is no seal in the lid of the filter tank, indicating a design flaw.
85% found it easy to use and install
It is much easier to use than the smaller Pur filter pitcher. It makes filling the coffee pot and water kettle a one-stop deal instead of filling and waiting and filling again.
My grandpa, who was in France during WWII, loves it and is amazed by the technology and ease of operation.
The pitcher is easy to carry and fill in the sink with its design, and it holds more than enough water.
81% liked the filtering speed, but 19% found it slow
After putting the new filter on and using the dispenser a couple of times, I noticed that the water now filters very fast.
I like that the filter operates slowly, which makes me question whether it is actually doing the job if it fills quickly.
This product is a good value for the price. I compared it with another brand I had bought before and found it to be much slower. It was my first time using a water filter pitcher and I was not sure what to expect in terms of speed. Hopefully, this information will help others make a decision.
I don't mind the slower filtration speed because it tells me that the filter is actually working. I also wonder how the BRITA filter can filter so quickly and do a thorough job.
Sometimes it took me a few hours to get through the top portion because the filter is extremely slow.
The filtering process is slow and it takes at least 8 hours overnight for the pitcher of water to get filtered.
The filter is taking hours to fill an inch or two, indicating slow filtering speed.
85% found the water tasted and smelled great, while 15% detected a strange taste
I noticed that the water from the pitcher is clear and tastes good, but not as good as bottled water. It still has a slight metallic taste but it's not overpowering.

I have complained that the water produced by the pitcher-water-filter is undrinkable with a weird smell, suggesting that the product may not be durable.
This pitcher can filter lead and other heavy harmful elements that BRITA cannot.
