About Brita Space Saver 6-Cup Pitcher
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
64% praised the filter's durability, while 36% found it broke easily
After several months, the rectangular piece covering the spout of my pitcher popped off while pouring, indicating its lack of durability.
I think the problem is due to the pitcher's lack of rigidity when held from the handle and the lid's weak grip on the rim.
I have noticed that the pitcher drips at the rate of ONE drop every 11 seconds and is not very durable.
I have noticed that the lid is not staying seated on the pitcher despite all attempts, indicating that the pitcher is not durable.
Rephrased: The pitcher is not durable as the lid is not staying seated despite all attempts.
I indicated that the entire pitcher is now useless.
I find the new 6-7 cup pitchers to be not durable with thin plastic, weak handles, and top heavy.
69% found it easy to use and install, while 31% had difficulties
I suggest that Brita use an easy to remove sticker and let customers decide whether or not they want to remove it.
Inserting and replacing the filter is difficult and the pitcher lid requires precise lining up.
71% praised for its excellent filtering, while 29% found it didn't remove all impurities
After soaking the filter in cold water for 10 minutes and running cold water through it for a few seconds, I found the water quality to be excellent. However, I did have a bad filter that left charcoal residue.
The water comes out smelling like water, not like swimming pool refuse.
I switched to blue Brita Longlife filters which claim to filter Lead/Benzene/Asbestos. They are 3 times more expensive but last 3 times longer.
The water that comes out of the pitcher has good quality.
The pitcher's spout is designed to maximize spillage when pouring.
I have noticed that the filter does not remove chlorine particularly well.
64% liked the filtering speed, but 36% found it slow
The filtering speed is very slow, with water dripping at a rate of one drop every 11 seconds.
I noticed that the filter assumes that the lid is only closed after it has been refilled and then concludes how many gallons were filtered.
The filter assumes that the lid is only closed after refilling and then calculates the filtered gallons.
66% found the water tasted and smelled great
The filtered water has no chlorine smell or taste and is good.
I have found that the pitcher removes chemical flavors from tap water and tastes like bottled water, based on my own experience.
I enjoyed the tasty water from my faucet that provides city water. I compared the taste before and after using the filter and found it to be like a smart water.
The handle of the pitcher came flying off while pouring water. It wasn't properly attached, so I had to super glue it on. It's been fine since, but it's frustrating that it showed up not working.
