About EMART 8.5 x 10 ft Photo Backdrop Stand
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
82% appreciated the easy adjustability, though 18% found it limited
I have complained that there is no center support and the top bars droop when the stands are spread to accommodate a seven foot wide paper.
The knobs do not tighten the poles enough to keep the backdrop in place.
85% found it to be extremely durable, but 15% experienced some wear and tear
I thought the product would not hold up because it was lightweight, but it proved to be very sturdy in holding up a 10ft x 7ft heavy tarp with card stock cutouts attached.
The only downside of the product is that the elastic on the small straps may wear or stretch over time, and the attached clamps are not very strong. I was surprised at how taut it held, but I can foresee it not working correctly in the future due to the small clamp.
During the last event, the backdrop pole did not screw tight, indicating that heavy use may not be durable enough for the product.
84% found it easy to assemble, but 16% had some trouble
I found the assembly process challenging at first due to the numerous parts and limited instructions. However, I was able to overcome this by following the instructions step-by-step and found it to be relatively easy once I got over the mental aspect of it.
It was easy to assemble and I didn't even need sandbags for support when using it with a roll of background paper.
Assembling the crossbar was difficult due to tight tolerances in the two tubes. I had to coat both sides with lithium grease to get them to lock together.
I found the product easy to assemble, but it falls easily with even a slight gust of wind due to lack of sturdiness.
84% praised its ability to hold large backgrounds, while 16% found it struggled with smaller ones
I can foresee a time when the clamp might not work correctly due to its small size.
I filled the sandbags fully with about 10lbs of weight to hold it down. I was hoping it would work well since it was not extended to its full height or width. However, a tiny breeze came and knocked it over as soon as I set up. This indicates that the holding capacity of the photo-background-support-equipment is not as good as expected.
I find the cross bar too thin for my taste.
82% found it to be extremely stable, while 18% experienced some wobbling
I did not face any issue with the crossbars getting stuck or not easily adjustable, unlike other users who have complained about it.
The product is unstable and cannot hold anything heavier than a single sheet of backdrop paper or very thin cloth, not even a thin paper roll backdrop.
When I used the backdrop stand outdoors for the second time, it was not stable.
I have highlighted the durability of the stand's feet. They are sleek and heavy enough to support the stand.
