By placing peanut butter on the underside of the trigger all the way at the back, I achieved a 100% kill rate and improved the capture capacity of the pest-control-traps.
I have noticed that the capture success rate is near 100% and trips without a catch are rare.
In the same area, other traps have caught more than a dozen mice, while ours have caught none.

The best bait I have used with this trap is a graham cracker with some peanut butter on it, which is irresistible to the critters.
I believe the trap is less effective because the peanut butter bait is hidden in a compartment instead of being exposed like in the old design.
