The product works great for gnat-sized pests in the late summertime, but I am not sure about its effectiveness in colder temperatures or for catching larger bugs.

The traps have a poor design and do not unwind properly. They either come out in a long skinny pencil shape and not unwind, or they would come out like they should after spinning the trap the opposite way and as soon as I let go the trap would curl up again into a skinny little roll.
