The switch is not user-friendly as I cannot go back and forth between speeds without physically holding the entire fan.
I have experienced that the fan has two speed settings. The low setting is nearly silent but pretty much useless unless you're very close to the fan. The high setting is better about moving air, and it doesn't get much noisier either.

I noticed that the fan design has a downside with the rubber material used for the four feet on the bottom of the fan housing. The feet stuck to the surface of the painted counter and even after several weeks, one of the feet had adhered strongly to the painted surface. A piece of painted wood was torn from the counter.
The mode dial is badly designed and requires two hands or awkward bracing to use.
