The bag has plenty of space for pens, tape, scissors, and even a small stapler, along with a couple of small compartments for sticky notes.
I found the compartments on the inside walls of the pencil case really useful for storing small items like leads for mechanical pencils and small pencil sharpeners.
A negative aspect of the product is that pencils do not fit in the front compartment.
The front compartment of the case does not have its own backing, so if the big zipper is overflowed with pens, it will spill to the front zipper compartment. There is not much of a division between the two compartments.
