The ink is very smooth and does not feather or bleed through the pages unless using common paper.

I have tried Herbin color and noticed that it is slightly less saturated than others, which allows for more shading. The blue is bright and vibrant, yet still serious.
The color of the ink is a deep mauvy-blue purple, almost as if it was mixed with a drop of black.
Writing with and looking at the ink is a pleasure, even at its darkest.
