I found the pedometer to be accurate when compared to a free one received through health insurance, based on step counting and treadmill measurements at the fitness club.
I tested the pedometer multiple times by counting steps and cross-checking with my partner's Apple iPhone. It has an accuracy range of about 90-95%, which is impressive for an inexpensive instrument.
The pedometer does not detect smaller steps like getting on/off a the Ryder or changing direction when walking around.
