The wrist rest is comfortable and magnetic, making it easy to place and remove.
The wrist rest is unusable for me as it is too small.
The wrist rest is not very ergonomic and not long enough to accommodate my hands. I am replacing it with a soft, large rest.

All the necessary keys are present and they are of the right sizes.
I appreciate the minimal footprint of the keyboard, making it great for fitting onto desks with limited space.
I noticed that the key layout on the Model M is slightly wider than the Steelseries keyboard.
I think the keyboard would feel more ergonomic if it was 15-20% wider.

If you choose the clicky blue version, you get more of that 'key pressed' feel when pushing past the force required to activate a key.
I like the keys because they feel like a good cherry mx red switch and the adjustable actuation helps with errors when typing.
The hybrid blue switches are good and actuate about halfway pressed, precisely when you hear the 'click'.

I found the SteelSeries Engine software intuitive and easy to use, making keyboard setup and customization incredibly easy.
Downloading the software is a must for me as it offers more options to customize the lighting system.
I found the software for customizing the lighting easy to use and was able to figure some things out with a little patience.
I spent hours messing with different lighting profiles on the keyboard that has millions of customization combinations for per-key lighting.

I love the build quality and the matte aluminum board that does not attract fingerprints.
I found the build quality to be sturdy and the case material to be hard plastic but not cheap.

The LED back-lit key features are fun to look at. Whenever I hit Enter, a wave of LED lights shoot out in both directions.
I found the backlighting feature helpful as it provides split-second feedback showing which key was just typed in case of any mistake.
I find the backlighting impressive but annoying. I want a backlight without it being a circus act.
After 7 months, the backlighting stopped working correctly and some keys are brighter than others. Scrolling lighting patterns like pulsing do not work.
