About Redragon K585 DITI One-Handed RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
87% highlighted the wrist rest, but 13% struggled
The wrist rest is removable, which is a big brain idea as most other budget options forget to implement it.
The wrist rest is very comfortable and helps elevate my hand into a comfortable position.
The wrist rest is magnetic and won't accidentally detach.
The wrist rest becomes uncomfortable to use after only 2 minutes.
86% found it exceptional, but 14% faced issues
I found the size of the device to be large and some keys are in near-unreachable places. Being 6'6" and able to palm a basketball, it was still difficult to reach some keys.
91% appreciated the key switch type
I bought the Brown switch version and found it to be a good middle ground for having a tactile feel without being annoyingly loud.
74% liked the customization software, but 26% didn't.
I am enjoying trying out different ways to speed up my finger reactions with plenty of customization options by customizing keys all over the board.
I bought the keyboard because it was supposed to be customizable, but I couldn't customize it due to the lack of software.
89% were satisfied with the build quality and durability
I feel that the build quality is fine and do not see any reason for it to fall apart soon. It is made of hard plastic, but I would not expect it to survive being run over by a car.
82% were impressed with the backlighting, but 18% weren't
The backlight options are limited and there is no 'Always On' option that stays one color. I don't need a light show while focusing on not punting people off the track.
The wrist rest is the only flaw in the keyboard. Placing the weight of my arm on the end of the rest causes the keyboard to tilt upward. I fixed this issue with a thin gel pad under the wrist rest. The edge of the wrist rest is bevelled and resting my wrist at the edge for large hands turns the bevelled edge into a pivot point, which causes the mini keyboard to flip upward or raise up. I suggest that this area should be redesigned or a stick-on rubber pad should be given to fix this issue.
I appreciate the size and layout of the keyboard, especially its width, which is suitable for someone with smaller hands.
