About Redragon K582 SURARA RGB LED Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Overall Feedback:
72% positive
84% highlighted the wrist rest, but 16% struggled
I recommend using a wrist rest to elevate your hands and match the angle.
I faced an issue with the keyboard ergonomics which put a strain on my left wrist. I had to get a keyboard rest to alleviate the pain.
92% found it exceptional
I have noticed that the keyboard has a decent size and shape with all the necessary keys, including a number pad. My typing speed has increased by 10-15%.
The keyboard has a full layout with no irregular key sizes, but it is heavy.
83% liked the customization software, but 17% didn't.
The keyboard has built-in light shows, reactive settings, and its own driver software that allows full customization of each key.
The hardware buttons provide 95% of the customization options, while the downloadable software only offers a GUI form and a color picker for single color effects.
85% were satisfied with the build quality and durability
The build quality is good with no creaking or flexing. The rubber feet grip the desk nicely and the flip up feet are solid. It also has a steel plate for the switch mounts and is very nice and solid.
91% were impressed with the backlighting, but 9% weren't
The backlighting has a pink tint and some keys are discolored/defective, but overall it is great. It cannot display a true white color.
In the dark, it's difficult to use the keyboard for multimedia control because the function keys are not backlit and are printed on the keys.
I suggest that for those who type a lot and are seated in a certain way, a wrist rest would be better. However, the keyboard is perfect in size for my slide-out keyboard tray and chair height.
