About AMMSUN 7 Foot Heavy Duty HIGH Wind Beach Umbrella with sand anchor & Tilt Sun Shelter, UV 50+ Protection Outdoor Sunshade Umbrella
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
92% praised the material, however 8% didn't
The fabric of the umbrella is not nylon or canvas, but something in between.
The critical part of the umbrella is made of cheap plastic.
I was surprised to find that the supports for umbrella cloth were also made of plastic.
I noticed that the umbrella has a rip in the material and someone tried to stitch it poorly.
92% liked the tilt mechanism
The umbrella has a joint release to tilt it to various angles and lock it in place.
The tilt feature is a game-changer as it allows me to adjust the angle of the umbrella to block the sun perfectly.
95% appreciated the ample shade coverage, but 5% found it small
When I angle the umbrella against the wind and sun, it stays up and provides shade at any time of day.
I stayed under the umbrella 90% of the time and still got tan and slightly sunburned while napping in the shade.
94% found it easy to move and store
The umbrella, sand anchor and extension pole pack up nicely in their storage bag.
93% liked the sturdy frame, yet 7% experienced issues
The umbrella's frame durability is evident as it can withstand constant strong winds coming off the ocean.
I purchased an umbrella with thin plastic arms and no rigid frame, which was a poor representation of the previous product. I returned it immediately.
93% appreciated the ease of operation, while 7% struggled
It's difficult to screw into beach sand and it takes a long time to make a hole as it just pushes the sand up instead of actually screwing into the sand like most do. I suggest digging a hole with a shovel.
I have noticed that the mechanism keeping the umbrella open can be fickle and requires multiple attempts to catch and stay open.
The umbrella worked great with the tilting head for the moving sun.
