About Swingline 3 Hole Punch, Desktop Hole Puncher 3 Ring, SmartTouch Metal Paper Punch
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
90% liked the adjustable punching settings, but 10% found them confusing
This product has adjustable punch settings and it's great if you don't use it too much.
The punch pegs are fixed and not adjustable.
92% appreciated the high capacity, but 8% found it limited
I wish the paper punch could punch more papers at a time.
The 20 page capacity is true for any basic lightweight printer paper found in our office that typically uses sub 100 gsm weight copy/print paper.
My received product has an actual capacity of 20 sheets, which is different from the advertised capacity of 45 sheets.
94% praised the durable construction, but 6% experienced breakage
The paper punch is durable and should last a long time. Although it doesn't punch as many papers at a time as I wish, I don't mind doing a few extra punches.
The Swingline hole punch is seeing more action in our office than the other, but only time will tell how long it lasts.
I found that the plastic base breaks easily, indicating that the product is not durable.
94% found it easy to use and maneuver
I was able to complete the task with ease and without hand fatigue thanks to the handle's user-friendly design.
90% appreciated the easy maintenance, but 10% found it tedious
The plastic base breaks easily, indicating poor maintenance of the paper-punch.
93% praised the clean punch quality
I can punch 45 sheets of paper with the hole punch in one single low force movement of the fist.
There are no distance markings for the mounting holes, but inserting a sheet of paper with the desired hole-spacing will serve as an adjustment template.
I am frustrated with the adjustability of the paper-punches. The alignment of the holes is very limiting and does not match up with the binder I have. It is not easy to move the punches around and it is nearly impossible to read the measurements on the holes behind the mechanism. I have compared it with another hole puncher that uses a slider and it takes seconds to adjust. My overall sentiment is negative.
The paper punch has an adjustable guide edge that is useful for punching different sizes of paper.
