About Swingline Desktop Hole Punch, Light Touch Metal Hole Puncher
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
79% liked the adjustable punching settings, but 21% found them confusing
I am frustrated with the adjustability of the paper-punches. The alignment of the holes is very limiting and does not match up with the binder I have. It is not easy to move the punches around and it is nearly impossible to read the measurements on the holes behind the mechanism. I have compared it with another hole puncher that uses a slider and it takes seconds to adjust. My overall sentiment is negative.
I can adjust the hole punch by means of screws that allow me to move each hole press.
Adjusting between 3-hole and 2-hole is not easy and cannot be switched between projects.
75% appreciated the high capacity, but 25% found it limited
I have noticed that the hole punch fails after the second week of use, leaving hanging chads to be removed by hand.
83% praised the durable construction, but 17% experienced breakage
The hole puncher worked for 6 months and then failed. It was not durable enough.
The paper punch has a sturdy construction with a solid base of support and a jam-free design, but its performance deteriorates over time unless you only plan to punch holes in 40 sheets every time.
81% found it easy to use and maneuver
I find the punch extremely easy to use as it is lightweight and the lever allows me to punch with one hand. Additionally, it is easy to empty and doesn't leak paper bits when picked up or moved.
I found it easy to punch through 20 sheets at a time using this hole punch.

There are no distance markings for the mounting holes, but inserting a sheet of paper with the desired hole-spacing will serve as an adjustment template.
The paper punch has an adjustable guide edge that is useful for punching different sizes of paper.
