Sometimes the markers release too much ink and other times the ink barely comes out.
The markers are thin and great, but my biggest complaint is that they don't flow consistently, especially if I write/color on the side.

I used acrylic paint and brushes for the background on my rocks and after they dried, I used these pens for the details and all the writing. Overall, they were great.
Replace the caps immediately after use to prevent the paint-pens-markers from drying out too fast.
The quick drying time of the paint-pen-marker depends on the definition of quick dry. It took about a minute for it to stop being actively wet, but it was still kind of tacky and any thicker spot the ink was definitely still smudgeable for several minutes after application.

I have noticed that the white pen is cracking on the tip, possibly due to writing on uneven rocks. However, it still has plenty of paint left and I have used it the most.
