I am addicted to this brand of freezer tape and use it for everything except shipping or mailing. I even taped a note to my inside wall and it was there for 3 years, and it released clean - didnt rip the wall paint, no marks left. Its crazy good. Also, if you live in cold climates like the northeast with freezing weather, if you leave a note for someone on an outside door, it holds the note/envelope in freezing temps (of course) but when removed, it doesnt tear or mark the paint.
