About PowerSmart Generator, 2500 Watts Portable Inverter Generator
Overall Feedback:
70% positive
79% found it resistant to various weather conditions
The inverter has been fantastic even in cold weather. It worked well without warming up, proving its weather-resistant and cold temperature withstanding capabilities.
82% appreciated the long runtime, but 18% found it limited
While running a 1500 heater, I get 4-5 hours of runtime on a tank.
After running for about 5 hours, the generator would shut down and then again after restart it would shut down again in 10 minutes with the overload light flashing red.
The generator shuts down after 10 minutes of runtime, despite using new gas and can. It's not a fuel problem.
82% appreciated the high power output
I was able to run multiple devices without any issue, including a computer, monitor, lamps, phone, and space heater.
The generator is quiet, but makes a little more noise when high wattage is applied. For my purposes, it's hardly noticeable.
The generator runs great and supplies power to the house without missing a beat. It takes very little gas and runs for 6 hours.
The generator runs at almost idle and only increases RPM when extra power is needed, like when the ice maker turns on.
83% found it easy to transport
The generator is highly portable, weighing less than a full 20 pound tank of propane and has a suitable handle for carrying and maneuvering.
89% were satisfied with the quiet operation
In eco mode, the generator is quiet, but higher-powered appliances may require a louder rpm setting.
The generator is not silent but it is not too loud either. I can talk without yelling when I am next to it.
73% found maintenance straightforward
There is a washable air filter in the unit that should be cleaned every 3 months or 50 hours of use.
Oil should be changed after the first 10 hours of use, then every 6 months or 100 hours of use.
92% liked the fuel efficiency, but 8% faced issues
While running a 1500 heater, I get 4-5 hours on a tank, which shows that the generator is fuel efficient.
The generator ran all night and more on a single gallon of guzzoline. It is very fuel efficient and quiet.
I bought a Pulsar generator which is not as fuel efficient as my previous one but it doesn't waste or burn oil like the previous one.

I used the generator during hurricane Ida when my power was out and it drained almost completely in one evening.
