About GRECELL Portable Power Station 300W (Peak 600W)
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
76% liked the sturdy construction, but 24% found it flimsy
I have found that the product performs above expectations and is built rugged.
The generator is easy to store in most places as it is light and compact.
The build quality of the charger is average and one of the rubber corners came off, indicating that it is not up to the mark.
I experienced a periodic shut off on my external device and found that the auto 12volt output port is only producing about 11volts, and often drops to 10.8 volts momentarily.
74% liked the fuel efficiency
When everything is charged, the current draw is low and variable from ~15w to 120w when the light is on full power.
71% found maintenance straightforward, but 29% faced complications
The generator is making a noise repeatedly throughout the day, making it impossible for me to use it as a UPS for my computer equipment.
After only a month of use, my battery life started getting shorter.
The solar panel fabric shrinks in the sun and permanently warps, making it impossible to refold without damaging the plastic panel itself.
If I plan to take the generator on an extended trip in the backcountry, the inconsistency is a big concern.
67% were satisfied with the quiet operation, but 33% were bothered
I bought the power station to run my electric chainsaws and it worked without any issues. I did not have to smell exhaust or hear loud chainsaw noise that comes from gas saws, indicating that the noise level of the outdoor-generator is low.
The outdoor generator is too loud and strong, venting loudly after powering anything over 50 watts. The noise is intrusive and there is a strong chemical smell in the air.
The noise level is too high to use as a UPS with my computer equipment.
82% appreciated the high power output, but 18% found it insufficient
I can power all my devices on the go with the Portable Power Station's 300W output.
The product claims to provide up to 10A at 12V from the DC output, but even under a light load, the voltage drops quickly. At 24 watts (2A), voltage output is only 11.1V. By 53 watts (5A - half the rated output) voltage is 10.6V.
As a UPS, the 288 Wh unit is useless because it disconnects power output when charging.
I experienced periodic shut off on my external device and found that the auto 12volt output port was only producing about 11volts, often dropping to 10.8 volts momentarily.
78% appreciated the long runtime, but 22% found it limited
The battery pack can run a small Vornado fan all night (8ish hours) and gets charged up during the day while I am out and about.
According to the book, the machine can run for 29 hours without a humidifier.
I have a 2200w gasoline generator and can use the Grecell for prolonged emergency power outages. I can recharge it fully by running the generator for 2 hours.
On the second night, I ran the generator for 5 hours and 39 minutes using the 110 AC option.
When I activate different types of power by pushing their button, the LCD screen shows the amount of power being used.
