About Portable Power Station Explorer 500
91% appreciated the high power output, but 9% found it insufficient
I noticed that the generator shows a power input of 85W when plugged into the wall via the included AC adapter. I also noticed that it charged at 55W for about an hour when connected to Jackery SolarSaga 100W panels.
The generator can power almost all of our portable needs with its power output of 518wh and 500 watts continuous and 1000 watts peak.
I tested the regular plug to charge a lime scooter and found that it can output about 85 watts, which can charge up to 4 scooters from a fully charged Power station.
Our generator has a 500 watt Pure sine wave inverter, which is 200 watts more than the Goal zero yeti 400 Lithium. It can start and run devices that require slightly more power.

I ran the fridge for about 6 hours in mid 70's weather and the 500 still showed 85% life remaining.
I advise against buying this battery for year-round outdoor use if the climate dips into the 30s in the winter.
88% appreciated the long runtime, but 12% found it limited
I still have 60% power left on the generator after 24 hours of use, which can run my fridge for 2-3 days.
For 8 nights, I ran the outdoor generator for a specific amount of time each night and kept track of the remaining battery percentage.
By plugging the UPS into Jackery Explorer 500, I can extend the operating time by 4 more hours during a blackout.
I ran the generator for 24 hours and the battery percentage went down to 75%. After 48 hours, it went down to 49%. After 65 hours, it was at 13% and died around 70-72 hours.
78% were satisfied with the quiet operation, but 22% were bothered
I cannot use a generator because of the noise it produces and my reluctance to carry something with gasoline in it.
When using AC power, I hear a loud high pitched whine on this solar generator which is not present on others. It's very annoying and I can hear it throughout my campervan.
When I use the AC ports on the generator, it emits a high pitch squeal that gives me a headache and hurts my ears. My girlfriend also experienced the same sound problem.
88% liked the fuel efficiency
Jackery combined with 12volt/LED system has reduced my burden of backpacking in five-gallon gas cans of gas.
87% liked the sturdy construction
The build quality of our generator is fantastic and the case is quite durable. We believe it could withstand an impact if the day should ever come.
