About Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 Portable Wood Burning Fire Pit
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
96% appreciated its multi-functional capabilities, yet 4% desired more
The secondary burning of gasses through the top vent holes adds a beautiful effect to the fire.
If we add certain improvements to the product, the openings may slump and deform due to heat.
88% felt secure with the added safety measures
This product makes it easier for me to start a fire and minimizes the risk of leaving it unattended, which is a safety feature.
I want a fire pit that is safer than traditional ones in terms of containment and smoke. I also want to minimize the amount of smoke in and around my house as well as the neighbors who are home at the same time.
86% praised the material durability, yet 14% didn't
My experience with the metals used in the product shows rust staining but they don't lose metal like mild steel.
There are very few substances that can withstand that kind of heat without some degradation.
I need to actively maintain the stove by emptying ash and covering it up or bringing it in out of wet/rainy weather. Care and maintenance is prudent regardless of the material, even if it is stainless steel.
If we use the fire pit for several hours, the bottom will get hot enough to damage what it is sitting on.
93% appreciated lightweight design
The assembly is easy and the Bonfire 2.0 is portable enough to take on camping trips or set up in the backyard.
The firepit is lightweight, burns wood thoroughly, is easy to clean, has no smoke, and puts out nice heat.
89% appreciated the heat output, while 11% wished for a more
The fire pit produces less smoke, except during lighting and the first few minutes of flames.
I initially faced disappointment with the heat output, especially when it was low to the ground due to the solid steel sides that block radiating heat. However, I learned that running it hotter with more fuel and not skimping on wood resulted in amazing efficiency.
I found that the heat output of this product is more than expected and comparable to a regular bonfire.
The heat output is high and putting a bag of logs through it left very little ash residue. A quick wipe and upside down shake cleaned the whole thing out.
I feel safer with this pit because of its enclosed top, which is more secure than traditional fire pits.
