About PaPaJet 36 Inch Fire Pit with 2 Grill, Outdoor Wood Burning Firepit
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
82% felt secure with the added safety measures, but 18% raised concens
I noticed that the grates have a warning attached not to put food directly onto them because of hazardous chemicals/coatings.
To use it safely, I will have to reinforce the legs with a ring.
I found the product to be wobbly and unsafe for use as a fire pit.
I experienced paint blistering and cracking after using the fire pit for the first time, specifically with cardboard and pallet wood. This is a safety concern for future use.
82% appreciated lightweight design, but 18% faced issues
It has a solid construction and is perfect size for a 10' x 10' patio. I am anxious to see how it holds up longer term and will need a cover for winter.
The legs are attached to the body with thin metal and small screws.
92% liked size and capacity, but 8% found it too small
I like the top cover that turns it into a mini 'table' and holds a good amount of firewood that can heat up to 2-3 feet from the pit edge.
I had difficulty getting the bottom grate onto the post and had to use a mallet, which scraped the paint off and will cause it to rust sooner.
93% appreciated its multi-functional capabilities, yet 7% desired more
I like the top cover that transforms into a mini table and holds a decent amount of firewood, which can heat up to 2-3 feet from the pit edge.
The table top cover is perfectly flush to the frame and provides a perfect center piece to a seating area.
The grate advertised with the fire pit is barely functional and comes with a warning not to cook food directly on it.
84% praised the material durability, yet 16% didn't
After the first use of the fire pit, burning cardboard and pallet wood, I experienced paint blistering and cracking in multiple locations.
I suggest buying a stainless steel grate to avoid direct contact with the thin metal at the bottom of the fire pit.
I advise not leaving the product outside as it will rust quickly.
88% found assembly a breeze
I suggest making a simple slit in the lid to use attachments and lid simultaneously without removing anything.
Assembling it was not too difficult and it took around 20 minutes with a drill.
It is very easy to assemble and I love that it has a lid and can be used as a table during the day.
I wish it came with a top mesh cover and a rain cover, but for the price compared to similar pits, it is unbeatable.
The instructions are clear and provide specific information about not tightening all screws until the fireplace is partially assembled.
