About Vantrue S1 4k Hidden Dash Cam Built in GPS Speed, Dual 1080P Front and Rear Car Camera with 24/7 Parking Mode
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
69% liked the field of view, though 31% didn't
It points up instead of facing straight, making it difficult to tell if a car behind me scraped my car.
I am dissatisfied with the camera's field of view as it is too cloudy to get a good quality image of a car in front of me.
62% appreciated the gps
I chose this camera for its shape, rear camera, GPS, and 4k recording.
62% found the wireless connectivity helpful but 38% disagree
I suggest finding a camera with better video quality and a stand USB C cable to connect front and rear cameras.
I suggest that the camera should connect to the phone via Bluetooth instead of requiring an adapter to work with a computer.
I can't unlock the car from 5 ft away when the camera is plugged in. This is a major problem.
63% were satisfied with the motion detection, but 37% weren't
I ordered the camera because I wanted a rear facing camera to figure out how the lady hit me twice.
The rear camera of my GM truck interferes with the signal of the antenna in the back window that receives the tire pressure sensor signals.
I have noticed the issue before and tried to adjust it, but it ends up swinging back up either because of a bump on the road or it slowly moves up over time.
64% appreciated the night vision, while 36% found it lacking
Under most night driving conditions, I am unable to capture license plate numbers with the camera.
My on-dash-camera's night vision is not good enough to read license plates.
72% liked the image quality, but 28% didn't
The image clarity and quality are excellent and it was easy to install.
I compared the camera's pixel conversion to VCRs in the 90s and 2000s that claimed they could show VHS video at DVD quality. The camera guesses what the missing pixels should look like based on the pixels around them to convert 1920x1080 video to 3840x2160.
The camera's image quality is not good enough as it is too cloudy.
I purchased a GPS module for my camera, but it did not display speed or coordinates.
