About REXING V5 Dash Cam 4K Modular Capabilities
Overall Feedback:
67% positive
71% appreciated the gps
The GPS is excellent and the Rexing GPS app stitches all videos to show as one along with the map and speed.
The dashcam has a built-in GPS that allows me to stamp my videos with geo-reference and shows the location on the App using Google Map.
64% liked the field of view
The front view camera has a wide 170 angle coverage and does not distort the edges of the video, giving a nice rectangular footage.
71% found the wireless connectivity helpful but 29% disagree
I found the mobile app to be user-friendly and was able to connect to wifi using my android phone without any issues. I could also view both channels on my phone live. Based on my experience, I can say that the dash cam is easy to use.
I can connect the camera to the network by turning on the WiFi setting on the camera and connecting to its network.
I could not switch between the 2 modular cameras on the Rexing app, indicating negative feedback regarding the Wireless Connectivity feature.
74% were satisfied with the motion detection
I have a camera with a parking monitor that detects collisions even if the car's engine is off.
74% appreciated the night vision, while 26% found it lacking
I am impressed with the Sony sensor used in the camera. It provides excellent night vision and captures clear and detailed footage in low-light or no-light conditions.
I tried the max dual resolution of UHDP24+FHDP24 and found poor quality front images, especially at night. I was surprised to see the night extremely granular.
Both cameras struggle to capture clear and detailed footage in low-light or no-light conditions.
69% liked the image quality
In daylight conditions, the image quality is excellent, but in pitch darkness, it is questionable due to glare and green tint.
I have a camera with fantastic 4k UHD 30fps and ultra-wide angle lens which captures all the bumper-to-bumper action in front of me. It also has great image quality at different light conditions.
The video quality is clear and smooth even on bumpy dirt roads.
At 4K, the video quality is amazing and I personally prefer 60 fps. It plays a major role when checking a face or capturing a fast driving vehicle's license plate.
I have faced difficulty in seeing the video properly when the camera is mounted on the windshield due to poor camera quality and shallow screen angle.
