I tested the GXPlayer program on the SD Card and found it useful. It plays videos while showing a map of my location and progress using GPS data collected by the receiver.
The dash cam's GPS feature is not user-friendly as the speed reading and route can only be viewed with an app on a computer.

The camera provides quick selection of half/half, rear or front cameras on the display, which works well even in daylight.
The attached pictures show more than acceptable 1080p quality from my front camera, which works well day and night.
I have a dash cam with a 170 degree wide picture and a wide screen that captures a better view.
As a backup camera, the screen is not big enough.

I suggest that the dashcam should have a mini USB connect with the GPS for power routing via OBDC II connector or USB source instead of a hard-wired cigarette lighter power socket.
