I have a dash cam with built-in GPS.
GPS uses my cellphone's data plan to get updates on traffic and road hazards, including police locations.
The dash-cam has GPS and it shows the tracking of my driving.

I can easily check the video with Ficam app as the camera has WIFI. The connection is stable.

I can adjust any setting through my phone vs having to go through the dashcam. Based on my experience, this dashcam is much better.

If I have the app installed on my phone and it is connected via Wireless LAN to the camera, other apps on my phone that use the internet won't be able to access the internet.
