I have noticed that the camera can read license plates of the cars next to me but it struggles with vehicles directly in front of me.

The camera records when there is movement or a loud sound and does not drain my car battery.
I was able to record the whole incident of road rage with the help of the camera which detected the motion and recorded it.
The camera turns on and off automatically when I start and turn off the car.
I have personally experienced that the camera can start recording when the car is bumped, without being hardwired to the car.

I have noticed that the camera struggles with vehicles directly in front of me and heavily lit areas slightly distort the quality.
The night vision feature of this dash cam is very poor. The picture is extremely grainy and the glare from street lights is intense. I could only see other vehicles just barely.

I suggest investing in a higher quality camera as the video quality is not up to the mark compared to YouTube dash cam compilations.
