About ATOTO AC-44P2 1080P USB DVR On-Dash Camera
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
85% appreciated the gps, but 15% didn't
I like that the GPS and MPH are superimposed over the image, which was not available in the previous camera.
I turned off the dash cam recording when it was not on constantly, and the TPMS lights on the dash disappeared, indicating that the dash cam was causing high RF interference with the TPMS sensors.
90% liked the field of view, though 10% didn't
I find the camera to have a nice view and be very stable.
My screen is obstructed by the hood, taking up 3/4th of it.
89% were satisfied with the motion detection, but 11% weren't
I wish the camera had a parking mode to record when the car is off.
79% appreciated the night vision, while 21% found it lacking
I have experienced that the colors are more vibrant and the low light quality has improved slightly.
The night vision feature seems great, although I haven't had a previous dash camera to compare it with.
I could see more with the camera's night vision mode than with my own eyes on a dark night. The sky appeared dark blue and lit up.
At night, I can barely see anything with the camera's night vision.
84% liked the image quality, but 16% didn't
The camera has great resolution and an excellent file manager.
I am satisfied with the quality of the dashcam based on still pictures and video captures.
Once I format the card, the video quality is great and easy to use.
I am disappointed with the rather pixelated picture quality of the on-dash-camera.
I can't tell the difference in video quality between my old 720p camera and the camera I'm using now. The footage looks like upscaled Standard Definition footage and I can't even read a license plate unless I'm less than 10ft away from the car in front of me.
The dash camera has a G sensor that turns it on when it feels an impact on the car. It also records the scene automatically and locks down the video for later usage.
The video quality captured by the camera is super clear.
