There are buttons that are well positioned, and they are battery indicator, so you don't have to search for hard to find batteries if you are away on a conference.
The features on this model are enough for most users, and the feature set is simpler than some other models, but I think it will last for a long time.
The pointer works with my Powerbook now, even though it hasn't done anything with my old remotes, and it still pulls the keyboard recognition screen up, which my old Kensington or Logitech remotes have never done.
It works without drivers, is easy to find, and has a laser that is aligned well to the length.
The powerpoint button is useless, and the other buttons are used a lot.

This remote is compatible with new MacBook Pro's, using USB-C, when used with a USB adapter.
Is it possible to use this for powerpoint demonstrations?
Yes. I've used it with both Mac and Windows presentations.
Does this or any of the logitech presentations have the Unifying receiver technology?
I would prefer to have one dongle plugged into my laptop and be able to have it work with both a mouse and presenter, but it seems like Logitech is missing a good opportunity there.
Will this device allow me to forward and re-wind a video clip?
You can only run the clip, but not control how it is run.
