I have been using the remote constantly for 2 weeks on two rechargeable batteries and the indicator on startup still shows a full charge.
The product turns off spontaneously during presentations and it's difficult to turn it back on without removing and reinserting the batteries.

This product is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. I have personally used it with a Late 08 MacBook Pro and a Windows PC (07 and Vista) and each button works plug and play as well.
I wish the product had better Mac compatibility, but it works great.
I had to read many reviews before purchasing because I use a Mac and some reviewers said it works while others said it does not. I took the chance and purchased it hoping it would work. In testing, I found that it did not work perfectly with Keynote. Some buttons like Blackout or the start/stop button did not work correctly, but slides do advance forward and back. However, I do not use Keynote much as I have MS Office for Mac (2011) and in this program, PowerPoint works perfectly with all buttons functioning as intended.
I am disappointed that the presenter is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5, which is the operating system we use on most of our computers.

I tested the range of the wireless unit and found it to be at least 10 meters, which is the farthest I have tested it.
The range of this remote is 50 ft and I was able to use it in all corners of my two-story house with the receiver in the basement.
I cannot comment on the range and customer service of the product as I have not used it in that context and have not needed customer service.
