I have laminated many items, including a placemat with Spider-Man on one side and my son's name on the other, as well as a cleaning chart for Mom when she finishes folding everything.
It's easy to use, there are only three steps, and the most complicated part is to put the pre- sealed end of the pouch in first.
If I were going to laminate a lot of material, I would buy a more powerful machine, but for the occasional jobs that I do, this is the machine that I like the most.
I thought the price was great, since my husband thinks he needs to laminate everything in the house.
It was quick and easy and worth every single penny, I was so happy to get this because I was like a kid on Christmas morning.
Question & Answers
Is it possible to use non-Swingline laminating pouch?
I use Amazon pouches because they're cheap and they work great.
I have a couple of product cards that I need to make, but I'm not sure if anyone has tried to put two sheets of paper back to back in the pouch.
It works fine if it is two sheets of paper, but I don't think the laminate would be tight enough.
Is it a plug in/removable cord or permenantly attached, making the footprint an inch or so wider?
It's a great machine, easy to use, and permanently attached.
Has anyone tried to foil with this machine?
I print on laser then put color foil on top of folded paper and run through laminator, it works great.
Has anyone ever used a hole punch after laminating?
I did a test that showed that the PRE punch hole method was the better one, but I preferred the other one.
