The mug is microwave safe and it keeps me from going to the microwave to reheat.
I find it inconvenient to transfer my coffee to another cup that can be heated up as the cup is not microwave safe.
I must warn you that the mug is not microwave safe. It exploded when my grandma microwaved it, which could have resulted in serious injury or fire damage.

I visited my mother and found that the bottom of my cup had decayed. I have used it for less than a year and only drink black coffee in it.
