At their lowest brightness, the lights work well in situations where I need just enough light to see where I am going without ruining my nighttime vision.
The dusk to dawn photocell works quickly to light up the path ahead and can be adjusted from wide open to off with a flick of a switch.
The night light has only two brightness settings and stays the same brightness until it is all the way down.
