About Samson SAGOMIC Go Mic Portable USB Condenser Microphone
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
78% appreciated its convenient connectivity options, although 22% found it lacked wireless capabilities
When I connect the microphone to the lightning port using a separate USB adapter, the OS recognizes it as both a microphone and a speaker.
I noticed that the microphone uses USB Mini connector instead of USB Micro connector, which is now the industry standard for small electronics.
77% praised for its rugged build quality, while 23% found it fragile
I have dropped the mic on a concrete floor with no damage, it is sturdy.
I am disappointed with the durability of the microphone.
After 14 months of use, the microphone stopped working and I'm not sure if it was my fault or if it has poor durability.
The SAMSON Go Mic has a delicate design and needs to be handled with care.
72% appreciated its wide frequency range
I have a microphone with a near perfect pitch/frequency response graph even at high and low frequencies, which is not seen in other USB mics.
For my use, the microphone sounds great. I haven't investigated its frequency response and dynamic range.
The condenser capsule produces clear and detailed recordings with a balanced frequency response.
79% appreciated its versatile polar patterns
I can record with the microphone under 3 polar patterns and inspect the audio with a headphone jack, which is usually reserved for higher end microphones.
75% liked its high sensitivity, but 25% found it picked up too much background noise
I find the microphone super sensitive and it can be adjusted to pick up less sound using the -10 setting, but it still alters the sound.
I find the microphone to be over-sensitive, picking up even the slightest breath or ambient sounds and overloading the mic, resulting in horrible distortion.
The sound quality of our product goes down due to its sensitivity and lack of direction.
80% praised for its crystal-clear sound, while 20% found it lacked warmth
From my experience, the sound quality of this microphone is comparable to that of 50-70 dollar headset microphones.
The sound quality is average and there is too much noise picked up.

I have a cord with a reasonably generous length and a standard three-pin DIN microphone connector. It is terminated in a 3.5mm stereo plug that will also work in the 3.5mm MONO microphone jack typical of most PC sound cards.

I like the onboard amp of the microphone as it solves line-level problems with USB mics and the mute control button is excellent.
