About Klein Tools CL800 Digital Clamp Meter, Autoranging TRMS
74% praised for its accurate readings
I have found this meter to be not only useful but also accurate to a certain extent, and it is probably the first low-cost meter I have come across.
I have found the multimeter to be sturdy, accurate and surprisingly compact.
The digital display is clear and easy to read, providing accurate measurements in any lighting condition.
67% appreciated the clear and bright display
The digital display provides accurate measurements in any lighting condition and is easy to read.
75% liked its rugged and durable design
This tool is a good investment as it seems to be built to last.
The exterior of the meter is durable with sturdy plastic parts, a rubberized coating on the sides and dial, and high-quality buttons.
As an HVAC/R technician, I found the multi meter to be the best value for my needs. It's durable, has mf capability, and performs exceptionally well. Plus, it's waterproof and drop resistant.
74% found it easy to navigate and operate
I find the tester's light easy to turn on and it has AC/DC volts/amps, mini volts, and mini amps.
76% appreciated the wide range of functions, though 24% wished for more advanced features
I can use the tester's light and measure AC/DC volts/amps, as well as mini volts and amps.
I have found that this meter has many convenient features, including TRMS, testing of AC/DC voltage and current, continuity, capacitance, diodes, resistance, frequency and temperature. I also like the fact that this meter has one setting for volts and one setting for amps and you use the select button to switch between AC and DC. Additionally, I appreciate the flashlight and the non-contact voltage tester. In comparison to Fluke meters, most of them don't have either of these features.
I have noticed that despite some drawbacks, the meter still has a lot of functionality to it. It is ergonomic, has a flashlight in the 800 model, is just as accurate as older models, and seems tough.
